How do I transition from hospital staff nurse to primary care nursing?

I'd recommend trying to find primary care around the same specialty you work with as a hospital staff nurse (Pediatrics, med-surg, cardiac, etc) you may look at ambulatory more than primary first. If you are set on primary look at where your patients go for PCP and be expected to know a little about a lot (whole person care) instead of specialized work.
