The first thing that I would do is contact the American Consulate in Paris to see if they can help you find out how to become licensed in France. Also, if you aren't already fluent in speaking French it would probably be a good idea to work on your language skillls, especially phrases and words that are commonly used in the medical field. Learning the metric system backwards and forwards would also be a good idea.
