what is the best thing for me to do if I have been out of work for more than 2 years? My last work was in a hospital setting and I love that setup and still looking forward to working before retirement 5 to 10 years ahead.

While I am not sure of the time frame, the Oklahoma BON requires a nurse who has not been working for a period of time to take a refresher course. This could be helpful in giving you 'hands on' with new equipment, etc.
