I heard Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit is hiring hundreds of nurses from the Philippines. Do you think that's a good way to deal with staff shortages?

Well this Importing Nurses from Overseas. Has been going on for Decades. Even from my Country. In the 80s and 90s America imported a lot of Nurses from The Caribbean and The Philippines. Instead of fixing the problems. That has been going on since the 70s. Which is ,Raise pay for Nurse Educators. To attract more nurses into Education. 2) Phase out a lot of Non-Nurse Administrative positions. Invest more into retention , productivity and growth of staff. Hire more ASN/ADN staff. With the promotion of obtaining BSN(which I know a lot of Hospitals are doing now ) . Etc etc etc . We all know the rest .
