I always wear my hair pulled back in a bun/clip. I was taught this in nursing school. Once I started working I discovered they were right. When patients grab at you they can’t pull your hair, and when they spit at you it’s less likely to end up in your hair.

Whatever style is easy to care for. I always wore mine short. But my daughter is an RN and she has long hair and pulls it back or in a bun.
Wash and go styles are the best if you have a good cut and your hair cooperates. I always like the look of someone’s hair when they can shake it and it falls right into place. My hair is not quite that cooperative.
Whatever style you choose, you don’t want to spend a lot of time on it.
