What are the common types of wounds I will encounter as a wound care nurse?

Common wounds: surgical site, pressure related injuries, diabetic ulcers, ostomies (old & new), peripheral vascular disease, cellulitis.

ALL types my dear, all types. From a paper cut, to something where you can see their brain and bones, if you're lucky enough.

I’m a wound care nurse and can tell you we get patients with wounds of all types. Pressure/Arterial/Venous/diabetic ulcers, surgical wounds that have not healed, burns, skin tears, lacerations etc. unfortunately, the company that I work for does not treat cancerous ulcers/wounds because of the type of treatment we provide.
