Hi, just wondering if any of y’all are working in PACU in any hospitals (CHI St Luke’s, Methodist, Memorial, and Baylor) in The Woodlands, TX? Just want to have an opinion with regards to the unit culture, shifts, etc. 😃

Hi, not sure how old this is but I worked at CHI St Lukes in the Woodlands for over 10 years, in different roles - PACU/ER and but my main home was their ICU. I loved it. I would have never left but for my husband was transferred. I miss my family every day. The unit was cohesive, and everyone was a team player. I worked their during COVID and compared to the horror stories I have heard about other hospitals St Lukes took care of us exceptionally well. It's a mixture of new and experienced nurses. I seriously considered staying on even thought that meant a 3 hour drive as I am now in Austin, but it just wasn't realistic.
