What programs are good for BSN-MSN for someone who hasn’t done papers since before computers, lol?

November 7th, 2022

I don't have my MSN, but I went to Western Govenor's University for my BSN, and we had to write a lot of papers. I truly learned how to write papers. I would look into their program. It is all online and you work at your own pace.

Many schools have writing labs to assist you. Ask your counselor or recruiter at your potential school about what support systems they have.

Make sure you use the excuse "it is for school." when you buy an updated current laptop. or at minimum less than 2 years old.
An iPad is nice but the current versions are not quite up to laptop levels. The next Gen iPad is supposed to have that level of utility.

First you need to have a decent word processor program. Word is ubiquitous, and costly, Pages is included with Apply OS.

Open Source free versions [open source generally is compatible with all operating systems.] that I like are Libre Office (I use this for all my .doc & docx files people send me, though most of my work is in pages format) & Apache OpenOffice,

Then you need to find the APA formatting (here is a DuckDuckGo [a google alternative] search to help https://duckduckgo.com/?q=apa+formating+software+for+professi...)

you will want to be sure you have pdf reader and water program Adobe originated this format but there are a number of open source no cost alternatives

Good luck in school
