I can no longer do bedside nursing. What are my options to be as far jobs that are at a desk? TY

Telephone nurse, insurance company, coding specialist. Try and get some education/certification for coding, which seems to have a lot of jobs posted. Look at job postings. Make some phone calls.

Get some experience in preop/postop nursing, then transition to PAT(preop admission testing) which involves doing phone histories and preop teaching before patients’ surgeries.

Try Case Management. You can do utilization review where you are responsible for getting the hospital compensated for services provided. Also under the case management umbrella is discharge planning where you would coordinate home care, ordering equipment for home, nursing home placement etc. With these positions typically you have to have 1 to 4 yrs of clinical experience. I would recommend asking to shadow a case manager to see if this is a good fit for you. Good luck
