Are there certain color scrubs you can't wear?

September 4th, 2023

Some units have a particular color they want you to wear, Our ICU wanted white only, then when I went to ER it was "ceil blue" only. Psych was always "business casual" street clothes. It all depends on your institutional policy. One ER I was in wanted black scrubs only as black does not show blood. When I became an NP and began working in office practice, I wore scrubs of any kind I liked or "business casual " with a long lab coat as I preferred. Check your insitution's policy because they will certainly have one.
