Are there any CRNA schools that don't require you to have ICU experience?

Like Christina said some will accept ED. PICU, NICU are also considered. It depends on the program: CVICU is preferred but pretty much all my friends from Neuro ICU did CRNA. It does matter what kind of facility/acuity the ICU has. Level 1 trauma/teaching is what they want.

Really the ICU requirement is there bc yes, you’re learning a TON of new information and skills but, the crossover with meds, pulm/vent familiarity and thinking process are similar and you can build upon it. They want you to succeed and do well so even if it’s not required, I’d highly recommend it based off of what I’ve seen first hand from friends that are now CRNAs.

I haven’t heard of any. Most of the time they want an ICU experience and you’re not suppose to work while doing CRNA school

Some will accept ED as well. They want you to be able to think quick on your toes in emergent situations.
