How do you get into nursing informatics without MSN? Are there additional certifications to take?

Easy, get certified in datases. Microsoft, Google, Oracle. MSN does nothing for Informatics. Get an MSN to get into management. Focus on business helps.

There are many universities that offer MSN degrees with informatics as the focus. I am not sure where you are located but google the universities near you for information. Majority of informatics nurses are credentialed through ANCC. Effective December 12 of this year, a BSN or higher is required to get certified in Informatics. Eligibility Criteria; Effective December 12, 2022
• Hold a current, active RN license in a state or territory of the United States
or hold the professional, legally recognized equivalent in another country.
• Hold a bachelor’s or higher degree in nursing.
• Have practiced the equivalent of 2 years full-time as a registered nurse.
• Have completed 30 hours of continuing education in informatics nursing
within the last 3 years.
• Have practiced a minimum of 2,000 hours of nursing informatics within the
last 3 years.
