I’m currently in general surgery (med surg) and I’m not liking it so far. I want to become an aesthetic nurse, should I transfer to the OR? Do I have to? Is it less stressful than med surg?

Med/surg is a difficult but good place to get the basics down. Working the OR is very challenging but interesting and rewarding. Not a lot of personal interaction with patients other than before and after surgery. It is a technical area to work in. There is a ton to learn and organization is key. I loved it!
