I obtained my RN license in April 2023. I did schooling during COVID, so I have no clinical experience. I have a desk job as a nurse doing OB/Gyn at a doctor's office. What IL hospital will want to hire a nurse with NO experience at all?

You can always apply for a New Grad opportunities and get your experience that way. I did when I switched from 3 years working as a corrections RN to hospital.

You'd be surprised since there's a shortage. Some hospitals have like internships where they train you in whatever department you get into. I would try all over

A lot of hospitals will train you to the unit that you apply for. Take the experience you’ve learned from the staff at the office and apply that to your knowledge base. Everybody has to start somewhere, so don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself. Write down questions that you might have for HR Before you apply anywhere so you have some idea as to what you might need to know. Good luck with your search.
