Why is it hard to find L&D positions as a new grad? I feel like I’ve applied to every hospital in GA and get no response

L&D has always been a coveted specialty area in nursing. The way I was able to break into it as a new nurse was to work in an outpatient OB/GYN Clinic first for more than a year and then got a reference from one of the physicians there who got me an interview in L&D. I'm sorry you are not getting any responses that's frustrating.
