How do nurses collaborate with other healthcare professionals in the long-term care setting?

We collaborate in essentially the same way we do in acute or out-patient care. Each discipline ( medicine, social work, physical therapy, etc) has a job to do and we dovetail our practice with theirs. Often some of what we do overlaps with other professions, so it's important to know your job description well. In the end, we are ALL there for the patients and need to do what Nursing does best in the service of their safety and well-being.
