How do accelerated nursing degree programs compared to traditional nursing programs?
April 20th, 2023
It depends on a few factors. If it’s the initial nursing program, which is usually an Associates Degree, then I highly recommend an in-person format. If it’s RN-BSN, as long as it’s an accredited program, I say compare costs and go for it. Accelerated programs can be quite intense - lots to learn in little time. If you’re good at retaining information for the purpose of passing an exam, then you’ll be fine. I will say, having a BSN will open more doors depending on what you’re career goals are. I went with Western Governors University for my RN-BSN and had a great experience. I hustled and got my BSN in 6 months which saved me thousands of dollars. Good luck to you and hope this advice helps!
