I am RN since 2015 but never worked in hospital. Is it possible to get hired in hospitals without any experience?! And also I am nervous to attend interviews .. Can any one help me to solve these?

Hi! So my recommendation would be to get into a nurse residency program at one of your local hospitals, so that you can gain the necessary skills to then work in that environment.

Hi,
From my experience, it’s possible to get a job in the hospital even without any hospital experience. Like myself, didn’t have any acute settings nor hospital experience since graduated from nursing school in 2014 but recently got an offer in the hospital and will start end of this month. So don’t give up.

In terms of the nervousness, I think it’s normal because of the unknown as long as it doesn’t impact your way of thinking I believe it’s fine. Just treated your interviewers as your fiends/family because when they are interviewing you, it’s also you are interviewing them and to find out if the facility and the position are in fact what you are looking for. Sometimes I think nervous is a motivation. You can overcome it. 😊

You can go to your preferred hospital career website to learn more about them, the position that you are interested to apply. I find out connecting with the talented team via LinkedIn, attend job fair or even call/stop by the nursing recruitment department will help as well.

Anyway, trust yourself. Good luck and when you look back next year at this time, this is just part of the learning experience you overcome. 😊
