Hi! I hear that most CRNA schools require ICU experience from a Level 1 Trauma Hospital. I have an offer at a VA Hospital in the MSICU and want to know if that would be beneficial for CRNA school or if I should accept other offers from only Level 1?

That would be a beneficial area. If you can, I’ve heard that CTICU is the best area to be in for CRNA school. I worked there briefly and half the unit was leaving to go to CRNA school. Good Luck either way!

Hi, Good for you looking to advance your career! Most CRNA programs are now Doctorate programs. Almost all have a prerequisite of 2 years ICU experience. I would look up www.AANA.com and find out more under the “about us” tab.
