I was a CNA when I started then I became an LPN and then an RN. Not saying you need to do that at all but if you are sure if your goals then get ready to buckle down and study hard. I would make a list of schools based on your area, compare schedules and costs and timelines then apply. Becoming an NP will require a BSN so just keep that in mind. And you can always bridge from an Associates as well so don’t feel obligated to do the BSN right away. I did my Associates first, went to school in the evenings and worked the whole time. Best of luck.

Never lived in the New York area but, my journey allowed me to work full-time and go to school. I went to a community College for my associates in nursing. I was able to support myself and study. I graduated and began working right away as a RN. I eventually received my bachelor's degree.
I am currently finishing up my list of education to apply for Nurse anesthetist school. It's a difficult road but it is not untenable. Good luck.
