Im a 20 year old new grad nurse in an ER. I got 3 weeks of training by a girl who has been a nurse for 1 year and was charting incorrectly and tonight my nurse manager/charge would not come in when we were busy and needed extra hands. Should i quit?

You are very smart to realize some red flags at your current employment. I personally would start putting in apps. Maybe you can request a different trainer/preceptor first though?

That’s very unsafe! I worked in the ER as a new grad when I started but I got 6 months training in days then several weeks on eves/nights… I worked 3p-3a…. Horrible shift! I didn’t feel safe there…. I wasn’t experienced enough and felt I needed floor experience first. I highly recommend floor nursing first before jumping into the ED for a few years…. Then move about the hospital…. Go back to ED or go to critical care…. That’s what I did, I learned so much in critical care …. I’ll never go back to the ED…. It’s unorganized chaos ….u are putting your license at risk. It’s best for seasoned nurses who have developed skills and critical thinking. If u crave that highly skilled nursing go into critical care where u can learn. In the ED they throw things at u no matter what. Protect your license and your back!!! I hurt mine and I’m screwed. Always put your health as a priority…. Exercise! Strength training is the utmost priority!!! Good luck to u!!
