I am an RN with over 25 years experience. The bulk of my career has been spent in OB (11 years) and hospice (10 years). I want to get back into working inpatient, but employers want recent experience. Any advice?

Not sure where you are at but I am inundated with literally hundreds of emails trying to get me to work. I have been at this for nearly 30 years and have been a director of a surgery center and done travel nursing so my name is on more lists than most but my point is nurses are really needed. Start with an agency. I think that is a great way to find a new position. Pick up PRN shifts locally, and you will benefit by getting travel pay, but the real payoff is getting your foot in the door and behind the curtain. It's like a try before you buy. You can get the experience under your belt while sampling the local opportunities and you will know which is the best fit for you and it will work out from there.
Best wishes,
Robin
