Any recommendations on how to find a day shift ICU or OR or PCU per diem job with 2 years experience in MedSurg?

You should 1st work in a permanent position in ICU, OR, and PCU as they are all different. ICU and PCU are both critical care, OR is a specialty in its own. You need critical skills to care for these patients, because while they vitals may look fine they are not. Patients can literally be seconds away from circling the drain. If you think of it this way do you want an incompetent nurse caring for your love one? You would not. GET ALL THE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU CAN GET. Even myself I have worked in ICU and ER however I challenge myself constantly to obtain more education and experience because technology changes and approaches change also.
