My LVN license was denied due to a driving record involving alcohol. I can appeal. Do I hire a lawyer? Or is it completely doable on my own since I don’t have sufficient funds for a lawyer?

With something as important as your nursing license, please get a reputable lawyer. You might talk to the Board of Nursing to see if they recommend one or would appoint one if you are unable to pay at this time. Best of luck! It is truly worth fighting for your license!

I would get a lawyer. I know in WV, if you get a DWI or DUI, it is a felony. Therefore you lose your license, and subsequently your job too.
