Become board certified in whichever area you are practicing and enjoy! I renew mine as needed. This will enhance your practice and you will be an excellent resource for your unit. Education is never a wrong choice, even better your specialty certification is usually paid for by your employer. You will also be more marketable when you are looking for a new role. Med surg certification, cardiac certification, orthopedic certification

Depends on your speciality but some basic certifications I would recommend are ACLS PALS NRP. If you are in emergency I would recommend TNCC MICN CCRN
