What is medical surgical nursing, and how does it differ from ICU nursing?

You might have to care for patients that come from the ER, or down from ICU. You'll see patients who came from surgery or are going to surgery.

Medical/Surgical nursing is medical can be many things it can be sick patients that are to sick to go home and not sick enough to go to ICU, conditions can change rapidly and they must be kept a close eye on.
Surgical nursing is patients who have come back from a surgical procedure that was not complicated and are in need of VS and supervision on how to take care of they're surgical would upon discharge. These patients as medical patients can change quickly and fresh surgical patients need to be monitored closely for the first 2-3 days.
