Can you negotiate residency program pay as a new grad or is it a set base pay due to the program?

Hi. I am only familiar with VA Medical Centers (in particular Atlanta VA Medical Center). The pay is usually set. However, if the graduate has a masters degrees in a related field or has experience working has an LPN, there may be room for negotiation prior to accepting the position.

Typically new grad salary is set. If you have previous experience, such as CNA, that can allow you to negotiate.
