I would love to hear pros/cons of remote positions such as, case management, utilization/review management, and tele nursing. I feel like the $/hr is significantly lower for work from home positions. Trying to find a happy medium. Thanks in advance.

i have worked for insurance doing telework in the past. Depending on the company, some demand a high work load because you work from home. It is a good opportunity for a nurse wanting to move away from bedside nursing. the companies that pay more usually require a higher work load. my company tracked you based on how many cases were completed in a day. some companies do "key strokes" which is tracking how much you are typing. If you deduct the cost of gas, cost of maintaining your vehicle, commute time, you are able to eat at home and save money, you don't have to wear business attire if you were to do CM in a facility. all factors to take into account to see if the pay cut is worth your while. best of luck to you!
