How do I advance my career as an ICU nurse, and what opportunities are available for professional development?

If you are not an ICU nurse consider below: 1) suggest to get certified in Basic Arrhythmia, and hen ACLS. You may be able to get this at a local Community College or even at some hospitals; 2) see if you can find a facility that offers an ICU internship; 3) become involved in AACN (I have been for over 45 years), as there are always courses, etc., depending on what type of critical care track you are looking for.
If you are already an ICU nurse, & not involved in AACN, join & become involved ASAP!
