I’m graduating with my ADN in December. I don’t feel like employers will think I have enough experience to hire me as a new grad. I have 2 years of clinical experience and 3 years of CNA experience. What else can I do to help stand out?

I graduated with an ADN last year. I had many job offers, I wasn’t turned away from any because of my type of degree. You may also want to enroll in a RN to BSN program to get started this way you can put that on your resume.

It’s not impossible (this is coming from someone who got hired as a new grad ADN!). I would personally make sure your resume highlights your experience as a CNA as well as the clinical rotations you did in school. While many hospitals won’t hire ADN RNs, outpatient sites and LTC/Rehabs do. Good luck!
