What is some advice for a new grad who loves her current nursing job but can’t stand night shift position. I work at an ortho/tele unit with 4 months of experience. There are no day shift openings and 2 other night shift nurses are already on line

Have you ever thought about doing Neurology/neuroscience. A bit more complex but in some ways related. Since you are 3rd, do you have interest in any other areas? Another facility? Do you love it enough to tough it out? All facilities will portray loyalty to keep you but you are an RN. Get a yr under your belt and move on. Day shift people are not likely to leave. They retire or get fired.

Honestly, I would continue to wait in line. You have 4 months of experience. You need to use this time to gain more experience. At least a year. I'm sorry that you have issues with night shift but that was the position you accepted when you were hired. Most places require a minimum of 6 months before changing either shifts or departments. Besides, you need the experience you are receiving.
