Can someone tell me how long can I go on without getting a nursing job after graduation? I graduated in spring 2023 and haven't gotten a job ever since I passed the NCLEX due to being pregnant and having my child. How long is too long?
Many large hospital systems have new nurse residency programs you would be eligible to train.
If your reason is bringing life into
The world and caring for them not a problem.
Surprising. Hang in there, it could also depend on what area of nursing you are looking into. May need to broaden the nursing field you are looking into Med-surg, OB-GYN, ER, private practice, etc. Also search on indeed, LinkedIn, etc. It's never too long, you will find your fit, hang in there. Do not know where you reside but there is a need for nurses, mainly depends on what you are looking for and is willing to accept. Start small and grow.
Volunteer is the way to start, then get your foot in the door. I don’t think it’s been too long.
That’s a good question!
Hard to answer but I would be open about my reasons of not practicing nursing with recruiters.
Look in to novice nurse programs - look in to any colleges offering refresher programs .
Good luck- I am sure you will be successful !
