I've been a nurse for 10yrs. I have 4yrs experience in LR/DR, 6 yrs in ER and 6 months in Medsurg. I would like to transfer to another area like OR/ PACU. Is that possible?

Yes. As an experience nurse you do have skill sets that are transferable to work in these areas. Many academic hospitals have Periop 101 Programs that are posted on hiring sites for interested applicants who will require additional training to work in the OR. PACU managers who value the skill set of ER nurses often hire those seeking a different opportunity. Good luck!

Any thing is possible. Most PACU positions require 2-4 years ICU experience.
