Hello... We're working on cost of living analysis for the current market in Austin. I have heard that Houston pay is better than Austin and Dallas. I know I took a SIGNIFICANT pay cut when we moved from DFW to Austin. About $8/hour!!!! Thanks

The pay in Houston is better. When I moved to Dallas, I also took a cut in pay when I left Houston, Texas. The pay in Austin is even much lower because people want to move there. There is also a lot more to do in Austin too. Housing is more expensive in Austin too and the market is tight. If you can handle traffic in Austin, then you can handle the traffic in Houston.

I have worked in NYS for 30 years and I'm glad that I did it .
My retirement payment between Pension and SS is such a good one that allow me
to live without money issues in the State of Florida...I recomen any new graduated
RN to move to NYS... Besides you have a Union that will protect you and will fight for
your salary...

I read somewhere on the news, it’s said Austin pay the least for nurses in Texas.
