Would you consider travel nursing risky? I am thinking about moving from NYC to PA and think that if I want to maintain the current salary that I have now, I may be better off with travel nursing but am worried about job security. Any advice?

Any non-permeant position is by it's very nature risky. at any hospital the travelers are cancelled first then PRN staff.

The COVID-19 clean up the bucks deals are ending so super salaries are not likely to be maintained for too long. That said the overall number of nurses working has dropped and will take some time to rebound - if every.

So it is risky may not terribly risky but you are choosing no guarantee position.
