How do see what a job position entails before accepting a phone interview?

As someone who hires, I would be very receptive to a candidate asking for more information on the position to ensure it’s a good fit. You might send a note (assuming you are applying via Indeed, etc.) inquiring about the details of the role. If it sounds like a fit express your continued interest, if not withdraw the application.
