I have been disabled for several years and gave up my RN license. I am healthier now and would like to get my license back but cannot afford the cost of the refresher course ($2500). Does anyone know of any grants or scholarships for this?

You do not mention which State or Territory you live in. If you have not already called the Board of Nursing, State Education Dept., or whatever regulatory body administers licensing where you live, do so now and ask what they suggest to reactivate your license. Explain you cannot afford the refresher course and ask if there are alternatives. Often online course work is less expensive than those offerred onlocal college campuses. Be sure to ask about any clinical refresher arrangements that could be made. Good luck to you!
