What advice do you all have on moving to another state for a new job? Is it work the risk? I am afraid to move and uproot my family and then something go wrong.

Think about a multi-state nursing license. Consider researching the state you are interested in practicing nursing by going to their State Board of Nursing website to understand the scope of practice. I have relocated to three different states during my career and it is helpful to understand the rules and reporting requirements associated with having a nursing license in that state (also keep your license active but on hold). Also, try working for an agency that has assignments in the state you are interested in, so you can familiarize yourself on a temporary basis, vs. permanent move first.
