I really want to do CVICU once I’m licensed. However, most CVICU postings I see require previous ICU experience… although I’ve met many new grads on CVICU. I have 6 yrs of emergency experience, should I still try to apply for CVICU?

Absolutely. I was hired into a CVICU as a new grad in southern Oregon (and now work ER). There are positions out there and you'll do well with the experience you have. If you don't ask, the answer is no 😉
