If there is any RN from Southern California on this platform, do you know anywhere hiring RN with only outpatient experience, no acute care experience. I moved to oceanside and have been struggling to find employment.

I live in Orange co. CA and see lots of jobs for the acute setting. Sell yourself and I’m sure you will find something. Good luck!

As an RN from another state I had only outpatient as well, according to the RN union you have to have a minimum of 1-2 years in patient to get a job in patient. You can get a job continuing to do outpatient but if you want to do hospital stuff I encourage you to find a fellowship program at any of the Providence locations it’s a “transition” program for specialty you have to have at least 1 year any where as an RN. You can be a 10 year RN and still have to do this “transition.” You can’t even get travel contracts without having worked 1-2 years in a hospital some where. Hope this helps

Many hospitals hire new grads or new to inpatient setting & provide training/orientation programs and/or a nurse residency program for those without experience.
