How do we advance as RNs when no one wants to give you a chance? They always ask for experience....frustrating when you want to try something else.

Sometimes you have to open to change employers or hospital systems you may not want to work for permanently. For example HCA has StaRN plus which is an orientation education program for nursing looking to change specialties. A med surg or home health nurse can complete like a 10 week track in ER and come out with certs like TNCC , PALS, ENPC, etc and start a new position at an HCA ER. You sign a commitment for the value of the paid training.
