Is it possible to get a job in a Labor & Delivery unit as a new nurse?

It is possible, there are so many specialities that are taking new grads because they can mold you how they want. Usually always will have to start on nights though!

High right now, most hospitals are willing to do on the job training. It wouldn’t hurt to apply.

You have a great chance of getting into L & D as a new grad, however, I recommend starting in post partum to establish a baseline knowledge of mother and infant care.

It is, depending on where and what kind of level facility it is. You have to show a love and a passion for it and some places will be willing to teach you the role from scratch.
