How is it like being a RN in the OR as a new grad?

some nurses start in the OR right after school. but make sure you have the periop 101 or a specific OR training course before you can do the OR. the floor teaches you time management but if you got those skills then you don’t have to do the floor. OR nursing is different from med surg nursing

Typically they want you to have some experience overall but the orientation program I am familiar with lasted two years.
