How long does it take to find a job in CA for an RN with 6 months paid experience? Came out here with my fiancée who had a job offer. I was told I’d have no problems finding a job as a male nurse. Took 2 months just to get 1 interview.

With 6 months of experience, you're still considered a new grad. That significantly impacts your opportunities. Male or female is irrelevant, your experience and resume are what matter. The market in southern CA (not sure if you're in So Cal or Nor Cal) is saturated with new grad nurses right now so it may take you a little longer. Keep applying. :-)
