I feel as though I am going to get stiffed on pay, how much should I be asking for when I get my first nursing job?

Pay depends on type of license, state you reside in, job you get and years of experience. Unfortunately nurses get more pay the more experience we have. Some places pay by the hour but most home health agencies will pay by the visit. Hospice is now trying to do the same thing but for per diem staff. Full time staff get an hourly wage. Employers also consider other skills you have when considering pay ie. IV certification, WCC certification etc.
