Any insight into NYC hourly rates for an RN with 7 years of inpatient experience? I'd love to hear both outpatient and inpatient salaries. Thank you in advance!

Not to dodge your quetion, b ut it all depends on WHERE in NY you work. In the City, or on Long Island, the rates are much higher because the city and immediate surrounding areas are far more expensive to live in. Live further out and there are communting costs. If you work in a quiet, more rural community in upstate NY, the rates will be lower. Again, all depends on WHERE you choose to work in this state. Also, are you considering working for a large corporation such as New York Presbyterian, NYU-Langone, or a small community hospital or religious -affiliate institution. These issues all affect salary.
