Becoming really discouraged been an lpn,I am now a new grad RN and keep gettin waitlisted when applying to new grad programs or denied jobs. It all feels pointless now

You don’t need a new grad program. You already have experience. Those programs are for those student that have never worked in healthcare or the acute care setting and that have never primed IV tubing without a clinical instructor standing beside them. If you went thru a program you’d probably find a lot of it superfluous and that you probably had too much experience. Supplement with a few good books about starting a new nursing practice, and fast track. You got this.

As the previous poster said, you do have experience ! I would suggest calling the nurse recruiter at the hospitals you are interested in, and ask what sorts of openings they have for someone in your situation. It seems crazy to be denied jobs when there is still such demand.

Maybe the area you live in is saturated. Broaden your search. Look for new grad residency programs. Have someone look at your resume. I have never been “wait listed”. There is a shortage so the problem has to be on your end.
