Make sure you know the company and their mission statement prior to the interview. Know their organizational chart and how they serve the community. Tailor your answers with regards to this.
Make sure you present yourself the way you would in an in person interview. Also talk about what your presence will add to the company and how you identify with their core values
Your setup is important. The room/space you are in is a reflection of you; make it as presentable as you are. Lighting is important; you should have a lamp above you and behind the camera. The camera should be slightly above eye level. The preferred setup is a quality desk-stand microphone with sound cancelling software to negate audio loop of their audio, but odds are you don’t stream. It is better (and more cost effective) to have a quality headset.
Ensure good lighting. Dress appropriately for an interview. Keep a clean place around your laptop or phone, i.e., no clutter on table, desk, or surrounding area. Be professional, and have a list of applicable questions regarding the position you are being interviewed for. Keep paper and pen to make notes and ask for any additional clarification. Last but not least, be on time for the appointment, even a few minutes early. Good impressions are important.
Be yourself, look presentable and it is basically the same as being in front of the person. And always log on a little early to avoid glitches.
