How difficult is it for a graduate RN from Ohio to transfer their licensure to California and find employment with no prior work experience?

I am originally from CA, but completed my undergraduate coursework in MI. I decided to take the NCLEX in CA to prevent any delay in work eligibility. The board had to verify the coursework of my nursing program. Verifying my eligibility wasn't much of a problem at that time. However, working with the CA BRN to approve a post-master's certification recently was a nightmare.

Where, in the state, you hope to relocate and your nursing area of interest will determine the ease or difficulty of your employment search. Competition is likely to decrease east and central in the state. Best of luck to you!
