Yes, when I traveled, the companies need to know what amount of experience and how one is competent in giving care. Hospitals will also do testing as well as they want to know that the nurse is safe to practice. You have to do your research and find out what you want/expect from an agency.

I am glad to take the tests. Hopefully, the tests will discourage dipshits from traveling. Nothing hurts our reputation as travelers more than a DA that should have stayed staff.

When I have a resume, active and up to date RN nursing license and good experience, I never had to take testing. Now when I was working Pediatrics home health, that was a different story.
